Home of History, Hockey, and a Whole Lot More...
The War Memorial at Oncenter has the versatility to accommodate numerous large-scale events, including yours! Ice shows, family shows, car shows, concerts, sports events, and conventions are all regularly held here, with great success. This recently renovated historic building is nicely appointed with many new features.
You’ll find a modern ice rink, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and lighting systems, new arena seating, and quality food service courts, all accentuated by some very attractive landscaping. Event space? We have plenty of that. Choose from the 43,500 square-foot Arena, the 44,000 square-foot Exhibition Hall, the 3,100 square-foot Assembly Hall or our flexible meeting rooms. Book any or all of it (a total of 91,000 square feet on three levels). In the Arena, you can host up to 8,000 people, depending on seating arrangements.
Looking for a way to enhance your next conference/general session? The War Memorial at Oncenter now houses a state-of-the-art Daktronics scoreboard. The new scoreboard features the latest LED technology for the scoring display, as well as the ProStar video display.
The video display is an exciting enhancement to the War Memorial at Oncenter for a number of reasons. One of which, is increased fan participation during the Syracuse Crunch hockey games. The video display is on during the entire game featuring instant replay, as well as images of the fans as they cheer on the team.
Another reason for excitement over the video display is that it can be utilized during general sessions. No matter where you are in the arena, there is not a bad seat in the house. The four-sided video display creates a picture perfect view of the speaker/main stage.
Every seat has a clear view with our obstruction-free design. Over 2,400 people can attend events in the Exhibition Hall, and the Assembly Hall seats up to 350. Meeting rooms are available in a variety of sizes, for 20 to 230 guests. Meeting breaks and event intermissions offer an opportunity for visitors to examine the extensive historical exhibits located throughout the building. These fascinating three-dimensional displays salute and commemorate the Onondaga County men and women who served in America’s military.
Getting in and out of the War Memorial is easy for performers and visitors alike. Spacious load-in/load-out areas are designed for quick setup and takedown, while enclosed access to the 1,000-car parking garage keeps your guests comfortable in all weather.
Tickets for most War Memorial Arena events can be purchased through the Oncenter Box Office located on the State Street side of the War Memorial and also by phone at 315.435.2121, or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at 315.472.0700 or online at Ticketmaster Online.
